Air Fryer Sirloin Steak Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 Sirloin Steaks, about 8 oz (225g) each and 1-inch (2.5 cm) thick
  • 1 tbsp Avocado Oil or Olive Oil (15ml)
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt (or 1/2 tsp table salt)
  • 1/2 tsp Coarse Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
  • Optional: 1 tbsp Unsalted Butter and a sprig of fresh Rosemary or Thyme for finishing.

Instructions

  1. Prep: Let steaks rest at room temperature for 20-30 minutes, then pat dry.
  2. Season: Rub with oil and season all sides with the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder mixture.
  3. Preheat: Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Cook: Air fry for 8-12 minutes for medium-rare, flipping halfway through. Use a meat thermometer for your preferred doneness.
  5. Rest: Remove the steaks and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
