Easy Air Fryer Sesame Chicken (30 Minutes!)

Air fryer sesame chicken

Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (68 oz each), cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Kosher salt
  • Freshly cracked black pepper
  • For the Sesame Sauce:
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Make the Sauce: In a saucepan, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, water, and cornstarch until smooth. Stir in the sesame oil. Bring the mixture to a bubble over medium-high heat, then reduce heat and simmer for 8-10 minutes until it thickens.
  2. Coat the Chicken: In a bowl, combine the flour, salt, and pepper. Add the cubed chicken and toss until every piece is evenly coated.
  3. Air Fry the Chicken: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the coated chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket (cook in batches if needed). Air fry for 13-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Combine and Serve: Transfer the hot, crispy chicken to a large bowl. Pour the warm sesame sauce over the top, add the sesame seeds, and toss everything together to coat. Serve immediately.
