Air Fryer Omelette Recipes

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 tbsp Milk of choice (15ml) (or half-and-half for extra richness)
  • 1/4 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese (28g) (plus more for topping)
  • 1/4 tsp Kosher Salt (or to taste)
  • 1/8 tsp Black Pepper, freshly ground
  • Optional fillings: 2-3 tbsp finely chopped cooked vegetables or meat
  • Cooking spray or a little butter for greasing the dish

Instructions

Making this omelette is as easy as 1-2-3! Just follow these simple steps for a perfect breakfast.

1. Prepare the Air Fryer and Dish: First, preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 3 minutes. While it’s heating, grab a small, air-fryer-safe dish. A 6-inch cake pan, a large ramekin, or a silicone baking dish works perfectly. Grease the dish well with cooking spray or a little butter to prevent sticking.

2. Whisk the Eggs: In a small bowl, crack the 2 large eggs. Add the milk, salt, and pepper. Whisk everything together vigorously for about 30 seconds, until the mixture is pale yellow and slightly frothy. This adds air to the eggs, which helps make the omelette light and fluffy.

3. Add Fillings: Gently stir in your cheese and any optional cooked fillings you’re using. Don’t overfill the dish! You want to leave a little space at the top, as the omelette will puff up as it cooks.

4. Air Fry the Omelette: Carefully place the dish into the preheated air fryer basket. Cook for 6-8 minutes, or until the eggs are puffed up, the edges are golden, and the center is just set. It shouldn’t jiggle much when you gently shake the basket. If you like, you can sprinkle a little extra cheese on top during the last minute of cooking.

5. Serve and Enjoy: Using oven mitts, carefully remove the dish from the air fryer. Let it cool for just a moment, then gently slide or scoop the omelette onto a plate. Serve immediately while it’s warm and fluffy!
