Air fryer monkey breads

Ingredients

  • 1 can (16.3 oz / 462g) refrigerated biscuit dough (such as Pillsbury Grands! Flaky Layers or Buttermilk Biscuits)
  • 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons (10ml) ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup (100g) packed light or dark brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

For Optional Glaze:

  • 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons (30-45ml) milk (any kind)
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Grease Pan: Generously grease an air fryer-safe pan.
  2. Cinnamon Sugar: Mix 1/2 cup granulated sugar and 2 tsp ground cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. Cut Biscuits: Cut 1 can of refrigerated biscuits into 4 pieces each.
  4. Coat Dough: Toss biscuit pieces in cinnamon sugar until coated.
  5. Arrange: Place coated biscuits evenly in the greased pan.
  6. Make Sauce: Melt 1/2 cup unsalted butter, then stir in 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 tsp vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  7. Pour Sauce: Pour the butter sauce over the biscuits in the pan.
  8. Air Fry: Preheat air fryer to 330°F (165°C). Air fry for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  9. Cool & Flip: Let cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes, then invert onto a serving plate.
  10. Garnish (Optional): Drizzle with glaze if desired.
