The Absolute Easiest Air Fryer Hand Pies (Sweet or Savory!)

Ingredients

  • 1 box (14.1 oz / 400g) Refrigerated Pie Crusts (contains 2 crusts)
  • 1 medium Apple, peeled, cored, and finely diced (like Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
  • 2 tbsp Light Brown Sugar (25g), packed
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp Ground Nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp All-Purpose Flour (to thicken the filling)
  • 1 large Egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp Water or Milk
  • 1 tbsp Coarse Sugar, for sprinkling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep: Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, mix diced apple, sugar, spices, and flour.
  2. Cut & Fill: Cut 4-inch circles from pie dough. Place 1 tbsp of filling on one half of each circle.
  3. Seal: Brush edges with egg wash, fold into a half-moon, and crimp with a fork. Cut slits on top.
  4. Cook: Brush pies with egg wash and sprinkle with coarse sugar. Air fry in a single layer for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown.
  5. Serve: Let cool for a few minutes, then serve warm.
